Hanson Squad

The Hanson Squad is the first squad or step in the NSC State pathway and aims to assist athletes with the transition from Learn to Swim Lessons to a competitive squad environment. Participants will learn how to function in a squad environment as they develop the foundations of competitive technique and skill across all four strokes, with an emphasis on medley swimming. Introduction to competition is done in a fun, encouraging, and educational way.

Athletes are generally 7-9 years of age and are expected to attend a minimum of 2 sessions per week, building to 3 sessions when directed by their coach, and attend competitions as per the competition calendar.

Athletes in Hanson Squad must be NSC competitive members on Swim Central.
