As one of the largest swimming clubs in Australia, Nunawading has a staff of more than 120 persons across its 4 ‘Just Swimming’ swim schools and squad training program.
The Club has on-going opportunities for experienced and new swim teachers and squad coaches across its programs.
Squad Coach
To coach at Nunawading, applicants need to have a minimum Bronze Licence qualification and have either a background in competitive swimming, swim teaching or both. Applicants who have their Bronze Licence and have experienced coaching at a high level in other sports and have an interest in swimming will also be considered.
Coaches who are interested in coaching opportunities should contact Head Coach Amanda Isaac and supply Amanda with a two page summary introduction and detailing their main attributes and achievements. If you are interested in coaching opportunities at Nunawading, contact Amanda by email at amanda.isaac@nunawadingswimmingclub.com.
Swim Teachers
To teach as part of the Just Swimming organisation, swim teachers must have their Austswim and CPR qualifications. As an initial point of contact, swim teachers should contact Kaye Garner at kaye.garner@justswimming.com.au.
We are willing to take on board newly qualified teachers and assist them to develop as well as proven and experienced swim teachers who are looking for a change and opportunity.
Our swim schools have work available during the day with school groups as well as morning, evening or weekend learn-to-swim.
Of special interest to swim schools are experienced teachers in the water babies and familiarization areas working with 6 month old babies to 3 year old children. Staff who have a special interest in this area (experienced or not) should contact Kaye to discuss further.
