.: Squad Fees

National Open, National Age, State Youth, State Age, State Junior and Junior squad are all part of our monthly accounts system. Hanson and Armstrong squads are term payments.

The Squad Fees collected are assigned to pool entry at Aqualink Nunawading, pool hire or lease fees at all other training venues and coach wages for squad training.  The Club also provides money to support these expenses as well as providing financial support for coaches to attend swim meets and the provision of dryland and strength & conditioning training for all squads.

In late 2010 a new Direct Debit system was trialled with Junior squad whereby families were charged a standard monthly fee and monies were transferred for payment to the Club on the 1st of each month.  This has worked extremely well and all squads shall be transferring to this system from 1st February 2011.

Monthly Payments
Participation in the squad system is considered to be an annual involvement; therefore the total fees for the year have been averaged out to produce the monthly amount.  The same monthly fee is payable for all 12 months of the year. Fees will be charged regardless of a swimmers attendance.  The only exceptions are prolonged absences of more than 2 weeks through injury, illness or family commitments.  There are no longer family discounts for squad swimmers.

Adjustments to Squad Accounts
If a swimmer suffers any serious injuries or illnesses, eg fractured limbs or glandular fever, which necessitate a prolonged absence from training of more than 2 weeks, consideration may be given to adjusting the account in the following month.
If your squad account needs adjustment, or there is a problem with the account, please complete the Squad Fee Adjustment form and return it to the NSC Finance Officer, Louise Martin. Louise will work through any adjustments with you.

In general all charges will stand and any corrections will be made in the following month.

Year 12 Students
Nunawading Swimming Club is committed to working with Year 12 students to ensure they can continue their swimming and study through Year 12.  While coaches will work with the athletes on individual plans, the Club also offers a discounted fee for Year 12 students.
Students completing Year 12 over one year will receive a discount of 30% on their monthly fee from February to November in the Year they complete Year 12.
