Club Structure
Nunawading Swimming Club is managed by a Board of Management. The Board oversees and develops the medium to long term strategic direction of the organisation and meets on a monthly basis.
Two Committees report to the Board. They are the Swim Committee and Social & Fundraising Committee. The Swim Committee oversees all aspects of swimming competitions for the club. The Social & Fundraising Committee coordinates all social functions and fundraising opportunities for the Club. Contact details for Office Bearers can be found in point 3 below.
The Club has a full-time General Manager who oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the club and associated businesses. The General Manager attends all Board meetings and provides advice to the Board and Committee members as required.
Gary Barclay has been General Manager at NSC since February 2003 and has many years experience in coaching, operating swim schools, event management and general knowledge of the aquatic industry.
CLUB FOCUS
There are two core areas that the Club focuses on. They are Swimming Performance and Business Performance. Swimming performance is primarily driven by the team of coaches employed by Nunawading Swimming Club.

The Club currently operates 4 swim schools under the business name ‘Just Swimming’ and in 2007/08 employed approximately 150 persons throughout the year. The swim schools are managed by a full-time Business Manager. The business arm of the Club has experienced rapid growth in the past five years.
OUR FACILITIES
NSC trains at a number of different locations. Our home base is the recently renovated indoor 50m pool at Aqualink Nunawading. The Club also leases a second pool at Syndal Swim Centre in Mt Waverley.
The club has held long-term relationships with a number of local schools and utilise their terrific facilities. These include the 8 lane indoor 25m pool at Tintern Girls Grammar and the indoor 25m pool at Wesley College, Glen Waverley.
OUR PARENTS
There are many opportunities for families to be involved in club activities and parents are encouraged to participate, to join committees and become officials. Many friendships will be made here. The Club has a Swim Committee, Social & Fundraising Committee and Board members and parents of Club members are expected and encouraged to assist in the conduct of swim meets from time to time.
