Syndal School Group Swim Programs

Currently more than 28 local schools use the resources offered by Just Swimming Syndal to bring classes of school children in for 10 days of intensive swimming lessons or weekly lessons during school terms.

Swim lessons are conducted for 40 minutes each session and provide school students with a cost effective opportunity to develop their swimming and water safety skills.

Lessons are provided by Nationally Qualified teachers in a safe and friendly environment.

To further enhance the “Swim & Survive” program, Just Swimming has developed a parallel ‘skill-based’ set of competency standards. Swimmers are expected to achieve these skills in addition to the Swim & Survive requirements to complete the relevant levels.

Just Swimming’s School Swimming Program endeavours to compliment the Victorian School Curriculum by exploring the following aspects in line with Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS):

Maintaining good health and healthy lifestyle
Engaging in physical activity
Building positive social relationships
Working and learning in teams
Acquiring self knowledge
Learning with peers, seeking and responding to feedback
Goal setting

A competitively priced bus service can be provided if required.
